Websocket Connection Blocked

To ensure Appointt functions reliably, your browser must be able to establish a stable WebSocket connection to our servers. This connection ensures that changes are displayed in real-time – for example, when another user reschedules or edits an appointment.
Possible Causes of Connection Issues
If you frequently see the following message:
The connection to Appointt appears to have been interrupted. You may have missed updates from other users. We recommend refreshing your browser to load the latest data.
…then the WebSocket connection is likely being blocked. Possible reasons include:
- Browser extensions like ad blockers or cookie blockers
- Antivirus or firewall software
- Proxy or VPN connections
Troubleshooting Steps
- Browser Choice
- For best results, use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Both offer stable and reliable WebSocket support.
- Test Guest Mode
- Open Appointt in your browser’s guest mode. If everything works fine there, the issue is most likely caused by a browser extension.
- Check Extensions
- Disable your extensions one by one and test Appointt after each change.
- Many extensions (such as ad blockers) allow you to set exceptions – be sure to explicitly allow
*.appointt.net

- Check Antivirus & Firewall
- Temporarily disable your antivirus and firewall software to test the connection.
- Alternatively, test Appointt on a device without these tools installed.
- Ask your IT administrator to allow the following WebSocket URL:
wss://app.appointt.net/hubs
- Disable Proxy / VPN
- VPNs or proxy connections may also block WebSockets. Please ensure that the URL

is allowed in these cases as well.
